About Us
Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Sipaya, Gopalganj was established on 26th March, 2006 by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research and is under the administrative control of Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University, Pusa, Samastipur. At the time of foundation stone laying of the KVK, it was under the administrative control of the Rajendra Agricultural Univesity, Pusa, Samastipur. It is situated at a latitude of 26.576984° N and a longitude of 84.376285° E. KVK Gopalganj has a total 50.00 acres of land. A total of 14 blocks are under KVK Gopalganj. All technology transfer programmes of the centre are conducted on the principles of “Learning by Doing” and “Seeing is Believing”, with special emphasis on imparting the actual skills involved in the technologies. This centre is a scientific institution where farmers engaged in agricultural activities, and rural youth are provided vocational training so that they can become self-reliant while also gaining technical knowledge.

Activities:
- On-farm testing to assess the location specificity of agricultural technologies under various farming systems.
- Organize Frontline Demonstrations to establish production potential of technologies on the farmers’ fields.
- Capacity development of farmers and extension personnel to update their knowledge and skills on modern agricultural technologies.
- To work as knowledge and resource centre of agricultural technologies for supporting initiatives of public, private and voluntary sector in improving the agricultural economy of the district.
- Provide farm advisories using ICT and other media means on varied subjects of interest of farmers
